Principal’s Message

Dear EChem Families,PM

Welcome to The Urban Assembly Early College High School of Emergency Medicine (ECHEM) .

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the Principal and express my excitement about working with your child during his or her high school career.

At EChem, we embrace a culture of academic excellence, college and career readiness, social-emotional learning and restorative approaches to discipline. We believe that students learn best and achieve at a high level in a structured student-centered learning environment, where their needs are identified and corresponding lessons are designed to address their specific learning needs in a systematic way. By engaging in authentic learning experiences daily in the classroom and in the field, students will build the skills, knowledge, and networks necessary to be READY for college and careers and develop the confidence to pursue their dreams and the character to serve their communities.

As the principal of EChem, I believe that communication is important to help meet the needs of every student and family. As such, I welcome you to contact our school with any questions or concerns you may have throughout your student’s tenure here. Please feel free to schedule an appointment with your child’s guidance counselor, our parent coordinator, or one of our assistant principals.

We will continue to pledge to increase and improve our communication with families and provide opportunities for you to participate in your child's high school experience. It is my hope that each family makes an effort to take us up on the many invitations we will send you this year.

Here's to a great 2024-2025 academic year.

Educationally,

Dr. Rasheed Bility
